Our History

The San Antonio Women's Chamber of Commerce (SAWCC) was established in the spring of 1988 by the Board of Network Power/Texas. SAWCC was the first chamber to offer a women's leadership series geared towards the styles and traits of female leaders, then called the Leadership Development Series.  This was pushed forward by our President Emeritus, Ginger Purdy.

Since then the SAWCC has grown to become known as the "educational" chamber, offering three educational series throughout the year. These series, the Transformational Leadership Development Program, the Bloomberg Business Program and the Smart Women Series, are attended by some of the city's top executives, small business owners and up and coming business leaders from our surrounding colleges.

The SAWCC continues to encourage its members to showcase themselves by providing networking opportunities at luncheons, mixers, and at our Annual Grand Golf Tournament and Constellation of Stars Awards Gala.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote the business, economic and leadership development of women.

     Our Vision

The San Antonio Women's Chamber of Commerce will be the leading ADVOCATE that CONNECTS and EMPOWERS women in business and our community.
